About

Juknokwon Bamboo Garden is a bamboo forest located on the left side after passing Hyanggyo, which borders Gwanbangjerim and Damyangcheon Stream, the source of Yeongsangang River. Damyang-gun created the Seongansan area and opened it in May 2003. As you climb the stone steps at the entrance of Juknokwon, your stiff body relaxes, and the bamboo breeze blowing through the bamboo trees refreshes your mind and body, tired from daily life. Also, as you walk along the dense bamboo forest path, listening to the rustling sound of the bamboo leaves, the feeling of receiving the energy of the sunlight pouring through the green bamboo leaves is also refreshing. Jukrocha (bamboo dew tea), which is said to grow by drinking dew from bamboo leaves, grows naturally in Juknokwon. It is a place where you can enjoy a cup of Jukrocha after a bamboo forest bath and feel at ease. Juknokwon also has a total of 2.2 km of walking trails where you can enjoy a bamboo forest bath. It consists of eight themed paths, including Unsu Daetong-gil, Jungmagou-gil, and Cheolhakja-gil, and the walking trail starts from the Juknokwon Observatory. From the observatory, you can see Damyangcheon Stream, Damyang Gwanbangjerim, which is composed of old trees over 300 years old, and Damyang's famous Metasequoia-lined road at a glance. There is an ecological exhibition hall, an artificial waterfall, an ecological pond, and an outdoor performance hall, and lights have been installed in the bamboo forest so that you can take a walk at night.
