Dumulmeori is where the North Han River, originating from Geumgangsan Mountain, and the South Han River, originating from Geomnyongso Pond at the foot of Geumdaebong Mountain in Gangwon-do, converge, marking the beginning of the Han River. Yangsu-ri Dumulmeori, with its early morning mist, sunrise, yellow-sailed boat, and a zelkova tree over 400 years old, is a place where beautiful scenery transforms with the four seasons. It has been selected as one of the 'Korea Tourism 100 Must-Visit Places' for Koreans. It is widely known as the first scenic spot of the Han River (Dumulgyeong) and a filming location for various dramas and movies, attracting numerous domestic and international tourists, making it a representative ecological tourist destination in Korea. The beautiful scenery of Dumulmeori has been famous since ancient times, recorded in Lee Geon-pil's and Gyeomjae Jeong Seon's during the Joseon Dynasty, transcending time to be passed down to the present.
