Cheonggyecheon Stream is a 10.84 km long stream that divides Jongno-gu and Jung-gu. From July 2003 to September 2005, a major restoration project was carried out on the 5.84 km section around Cheonggyecheon-ro and Samil-ro, which had been covered, and a total of 22 bridges were installed, transforming it into a resting place for citizens. Various cultural events are held around Cheonggye Plaza, and it serves as an urban retreat where anyone can relax.
