About

Myeongdong is a place reminiscent of a giant shopping city. Myeongdong Street generally refers to the approximately 1 km stretch from Myeongdong Station on Subway Line 4 to Euljiro and Lotte Department Store. Various brand stores, department stores, and independent shops are concentrated here. It's fitting to call it a mecca of trends, as you can purchase a wide range of products including clothing, shoes, and accessories. Nearby department stores include Lotte Department Store and Shinsegae Department Store, and Myeongdong Street features shopping malls like Noon Square, Myeongdong Migliore, and M Plaza. Various brand shops are concentrated along the main street and in the side alleys. Myeongdong offers plenty of food and entertainment along with shopping. Food options range from family restaurants and fast-food chains to diverse Korean, Western, and Japanese cuisine. Additionally, Myeongdong has many convenience facilities such as hair salons, banks, and theaters. Major tourist attractions in Myeongdong include Myeongdong Cathedral, the main building of the Catholic Archdiocese of Seoul, Myeongdong Theater, which was restored and reopened from the old National Theater, and Cartoon Street.
