About
Ikseon-dong is a charming area where alleys and hanok (traditional Korean houses) blend harmoniously, attracting many tourists of all ages and bridging generations. After being designated a Hanok Preservation District in 2018, Ikseon-dong rapidly emerged as a unique time-travel destination in the high-tech city of Seoul, fueled by the retro and newtro trends starting in 2019. Ikseon-dong Hanok Street, with its narrow, intricate alleys winding like veins between small, low hanok, is gaining attention as an entire district, much like a single tourist product. With renovated hanok housing cafes, restaurants, and various shops, it is a representative date course in Seoul with plenty to see.
