Terms of Service

Effective Date: October 13, 2026

These Terms of Service govern the conditions of use, rights, and obligations between Picnic Planet (hereinafter referred to as the “Team”) and users in relation to the reCree service (hereinafter referred to as the “Service”).

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms govern the rights, obligations, responsibilities, and conditions of use between the Team and Users in connection with the Service.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  1. “Service” refers to the K-content fan travel information platform provided by the Team through the recree.io website.
  2. “User” refers to any person who accesses or uses the Service.
  3. “Member” refers to a User who has registered an account with the Service.
  4. “recreeshot” refers to a feature that allows Members to upload photos taken at K-content-related locations to verify or share their visits.
  5. “Journey” refers to a travel itinerary consisting of one or more locations, organized by day, that is created by a Member or provided by the Team.
  6. “Content” refers to information posted or uploaded by Members within the Service, including text, images, reviews, recreeshots, and Journeys.

Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of Terms)

  1. These Terms take effect when they are posted within the Service.
  2. The Team may amend these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable laws.
  3. The Team will provide notice of amendments within the Service at least 7 days before the effective date.
  4. If an amendment is materially unfavorable to Users or concerns an important contractual matter, the Team will provide notice at least 30 days before the effective date, where required or appropriate under applicable law.
  5. Members who do not agree with amended Terms may stop using the Service and withdraw their membership.
  6. Where applicable law requires separate or express consent to an amendment, the Team will obtain such consent.

Article 4 (Membership Registration and Accounts)

  1. Membership registration is completed when a User agrees to these Terms and the Privacy Policy and signs in through a Google account or another authentication method provided by the Service.
  2. Each Member is limited to one account unless otherwise permitted by the Team, and no person may register using another person’s identity or account without authorization.
  3. Members are responsible for managing their account information and may not transfer or lend their account to a third party.
  4. The Team may refuse registration, suspend an account, or restrict use in cases including:
    • use of another person’s identity or account without permission;
    • submission of false or misleading information;
    • repeated or serious violation of these Terms;
    • conduct that interferes with the operation, security, or integrity of the Service.

Article 5 (Description of Service)

The Team provides or may provide the following services:

  1. Viewing information on locations related to K-content such as K-POP, K-Drama, films, performances, and related cultural content;
  2. Location search, saving (bookmarking), and map-based exploration;
  3. Use of device location, with the User’s permission, to support map centering or nearby-place features;
  4. Uploading and viewing recreeshot verification photos;
  5. Creating, saving, sharing, and viewing Journeys;
  6. Viewing information about K-content-related products, events, places, or external services;
  7. Displaying third-party or embedded content, including maps, videos, social media posts, and external links;
  8. Displaying advertisements; and
  9. Other features additionally provided by the Team.

Article 6 (Modification and Suspension of Service)

  1. The Team may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service for operational, technical, security, legal, or business reasons.
  2. The Service may include beta or experimental features, which may be changed or temporarily suspended without prior notice.
  3. Where reasonably possible, the Team will provide advance notice of a material suspension or discontinuation.
  4. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability arising from the Team’s intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

Article 7 (Obligations of Users)

Users shall not engage in the following activities:

  1. Unauthorized collection, storage, disclosure, or posting of another person’s personal information;
  2. Acts that violate laws, regulations, public order, or the rights of others;
  3. Acts that interfere with the operation, security, or stability of the Service;
  4. Posting false, fraudulent, misleading, unlawful, or seriously harmful Content;
  5. Unauthorized commercial use, spam, or solicitation through the Service;
  6. Infringement of intellectual property, privacy, publicity, portrait, or other rights of the Team or any third party;
  7. Collecting Service data in bulk using automated tools such as crawlers, scrapers, or bots, or otherwise interfering with the operation of the Service, without the Team's prior permission, except where permitted by law;
  8. Copying all or a substantial part of the posts, data, or other materials of the Service without the Team's permission, and publishing, incorporating, or selling them in other services, apps, or datasets. The Service is a database built collectively by its Users, and the Team protects it under the rights of database producers under the Copyright Act of the Republic of Korea and under the Unfair Competition Prevention and Trade Secret Protection Act. In case of violation, the Team may block such collection and take legal action. Individual quotations with attribution and sharing of links are welcome;
  9. Clicking advertisements displayed in the Service with the intent to generate artificial impressions or clicks, or encouraging others to do so; or
  10. Any other activity that the Team reasonably determines may harm the Service, Users, advertisers, or third parties.

Article 8 (Rights and Responsibilities Regarding Content)

  1. Copyright in Content posted by a Member belongs to that Member or the applicable rights holder.
  2. By posting Content on the Service, the Member grants the Team a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use the Content only as reasonably necessary to:
    • display, store, reproduce, or technically process the Content within the Service;
    • create thumbnails or previews for Service display;
    • operate, secure, and improve the Service; and
    • analyze Service usage in aggregated or de-identified form.
  3. Public Content may be visible to other Users and, depending on the Service settings, may be indexed or cached by search engines or other third-party services.
  4. If a Member deletes their Content or withdraws from the Service, the Team will delete or make the Content inaccessible within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law, reasonably necessary for security or dispute resolution, or where copies have already been independently shared or saved by others.
  5. Members are responsible for ensuring that they have the rights or permissions necessary to post Content.

Article 9 (Copyright and Third-Party Rights)

  1. The Team respects copyrights and other rights of Users and third parties.
  2. The Service may refer to or display third-party materials, trademarks, artist names, entertainment content, embedded media, or links for informational, identification, commentary, or travel-related purposes. Unless expressly stated otherwise, such materials remain the property of their respective rights holders.
  3. Unless expressly stated otherwise, reCree is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any artist, entertainment company, broadcaster, platform, brand, or other third party mentioned in the Service.
  4. Members must not upload Content that infringes another person’s copyright or other rights.
  5. Copyright holders or persons who believe their rights have been infringed may report the matter to the Team by providing:
    • name and contact information of the reporter;
    • description of the copyrighted work or right claimed to be infringed;
    • location of the allegedly infringing Content within the Service (such as a URL);
    • a description of the alleged infringement; and
    • other information reasonably necessary to review the report.
  6. Reports may be submitted to picnicplanettt@gmail.com or through an in-Service reporting feature, if available.
  7. Upon receiving a valid report, the Team may restrict access to or remove the Content and may restrict the use of the Service by Members who repeatedly or seriously infringe third-party rights.

Article 10 (Advertisements and Third-Party Services)

  1. The Team may display advertisements within the Service, including advertisements provided by Google and other third-party advertising vendors or ad technology partners.
  2. Advertisements may be contextual or, where permitted by applicable law and subject to any consent required by law, personalized based on cookies, similar technologies, or information collected by advertising providers.
  3. The Service may also contain links to or embedded content from third-party websites and services.
  4. Advertisements, external websites, and third-party services are operated by their respective providers. The Team does not guarantee the products, services, content, availability, or accuracy of such third parties.
  5. Transactions or interactions between Users and advertisers or other third parties are governed by the applicable third party’s terms and policies.
  6. Details about advertising cookies, Google AdSense, consent management, and related data processing are described in the Privacy Policy.

Article 11 (Disclaimer)

  1. The Service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Team does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that all information provided through the Service will always be complete, accurate, or current.
  2. The Team shall not be liable for disruption or loss caused solely by reasons attributable to the User, third parties, telecommunications failures, force majeure, or circumstances outside the Team’s reasonable control.
  3. The Team does not guarantee the reliability or accuracy of Content posted by Users.
  4. Location and travel information provided in the Service, such as business hours, addresses, operating status, prices, schedules, or availability, may change without notice. Users are advised to verify important information before visiting or making a purchase or reservation.
  5. The Team shall not be responsible for disputes between Users or between a User and a third party solely because the Service provided information, a link, or an advertising or communication channel.
  6. Nothing in this Article excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability arising from the Team’s intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

Article 12 (Governing Law and Dispute Resolution)

  1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that may apply under the laws of a User’s country or region.
  2. In the event of a dispute between the Team and a User regarding the use of the Service, the parties shall endeavor to resolve the matter through mutual consultation.
  3. If consultation fails, jurisdiction shall be determined in accordance with the Civil Procedure Act of the Republic of Korea, except where mandatory applicable law provides otherwise.
