In his second year of middle school (8th grade), Hueningkai sought out his music teacher, asking, "Please create a band club," and sang for her on the spot. The teacher recalls being certain that "this child will succeed if he pursues music" after witnessing the usually quiet student play drums and teach rhythm and pitch to his friends.
During the filming of the TXT Fandom Tour, his homeroom teacher and band club instructor made a surprise appearance, securing a promise: "If you become famous, come back to school and perform for us." If you visit the school today, you can climb the steep staircase leading up to the 5th floor (dubbed the 'Stairway to Heaven') and feel the stamina and passion Hueningkai possessed during his trainee days, when he ran up these very steps daily. Thanks to a classroom assignment system that placed higher grades on higher floors, 3rd-year students had to 'climb' to the 5th floor every day. After ascending the stairs, you can imagine Hueningkai's window seat in his 3rd-grade, first-class classroom, the sun-drenched desk, and the lingering traces of the music room where he practiced for pop song competitions.
For MOA, it's another source of pride that the DNA of this prestigious school—which has produced stars from various fields like Yoo Jae-suk (a graduate of Yongmun High School), Han Suk-kyu, and Hwang Sun-hong—began right here. Why should international fans definitely visit? Because it's the only place where you can truly experience an idol's pre-debut daily life, genuine memories with their teachers, and the moments of a regular student before they became a K-pop star.
